Clover Properties: How did you get into real estate and what areas do you work in?

Heather: After spending over a decade building my career in media and public relations, I was ready to switch things up. I’ve always had the “real estate bug” and decided it was time to follow my passion. So I took the plunge and got my license. With the support of her family, I quickly got my real estate license and began working in record time. I am currently serving the GTHA (Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area) and North-West area.

Clover Properties: What makes you a great real estate agent?

Heather: I believe that my background in marketing and communications brings an added dimension and offers a unique insight. I pride myself on helping families narrow down what they are looking for and digging up the perfect properties that just might give them goosebumps. I truly enjoy the look of joy on my clients’ faces once they have finally secured their home. It’s one of the most fulfilling parts of being an agent. 

Clover Properties: And what sets you apart from other agents?

Heather: I believe what makes me unique is my capacity to listen. Every family is unique. I spend time with my clients, learning about them and what they want in a home. I work in partnership with my clients, and I believe our partnership can only grow and prosper through looking at properties and listening to their thoughts, impressions and goals after each viewing. I invest my time in my clients, never pressuring them to purchase a home they are not 100% sold on. Ensuring my client’s happiness is something that is of great importance to me. 

Clover Properties: When you’re not helping homebuyers find their perfect home, how do you spend your time? 

Heather: My husband and I are avid boaters and like to spend our summers on our sailboat. In the winter we enjoy skiing. Basically, we prefer to be outdoors. I also am a ferocious reader and love getting lost in a great book or movie. My friends are also very dear to me, and I know we would do anything for one another. I wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my shadow, Hershey. He is a cocker-spaniel mix rescue dog who rarely leaves my side.

Clover Properties: Tell us about an interesting or exciting experience you’ve had since you became a Clover Properties Certified Rent to Own Smart Agent.

Heather: From time-to-time, I help search for affordable rental accommodation for newcomers looking to start a new life in Canada. I was telling one woman about the Rent to Own program. She got so excited that there is a legitimate, established program to help new immigrants get into a home they can own before home prices get any more expensive.
